If we fall short of our promises — whether on quality or timeline — we make it right. That is not a marketing statement; it is a binding commitment.
Every project, regardless of tier or scope, is covered by our full refund policy. No fine print, no hidden conditions.

Section 2

If we miss your agreed-upon delivery deadline, you receive a full refund. No questions asked.
Your delivery deadline is established in writing at the start of every project and confirmed in your order agreement. That date is a hard commitment from our team.
The deadline guarantee applies to the final deliverable date, not intermediate milestone dates. However, we communicate proactively if any milestone is at risk.
In the rare event of a delay caused by factors outside our control (e.g., database outages, institutional access issues), we will notify you immediately and work with you to adjust the timeline or issue a refund — your choice.

Section 3

If you are not satisfied with the final deliverable after revisions, you are eligible for a full refund.
We offer unlimited revisions on all tiers. There is no cap on the number of revision rounds you can request before accepting the final work.
Each revision round is addressed within 3-5 business days, depending on the scope of the changes requested.
To be eligible for a satisfaction-based refund, you must have gone through at least one revision round so our team has the opportunity to address your feedback.

Section 4

To request a refund, send an email to hello@researchgold.org with the subject line "Refund Request" and include your order number.
In your email, please briefly describe the reason for your refund request. This helps us improve our service and resolve your case faster.
Our team responds to all refund requests within 24 hours during business days (Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM CT).
You will receive a confirmation email once your refund request has been reviewed and approved, along with the expected processing timeline.

Section 5

Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days and returned to your original payment method.
You will receive an email confirmation with a transaction reference number once the refund has been issued.
Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 3-5 business days for the refund to appear in your account after we process it.
If you do not see the refund in your account after 10 business days from our confirmation email, please contact us and we will investigate immediately.

Section 6

If the scope of your project changes mid-engagement, a partial refund may apply based on the proportion of work already completed.
Partial refund amounts are calculated transparently using project milestones. We will provide a detailed breakdown of completed work and the corresponding refund amount.
Common scenarios for partial refunds include: reducing the number of databases searched, narrowing the research question scope, or removing a meta-analysis component after the systematic review is underway.
You will always be informed of the partial refund amount before it is finalized, and you have the right to discuss or dispute the calculation.

Section 7

Work that has been delivered AND formally accepted by the client (signed off) is not eligible for a refund. Acceptance constitutes final approval of the deliverable.
Situations where the client fails to provide required materials, data, or feedback after repeated requests (minimum three documented attempts over 30 days) are not eligible for a refund.
These exclusions exist to protect both parties. We document all communications and milestone approvals so there is always a clear record.
If you believe an exception should apply to your situation, please contact us. We review every case individually and prioritize fairness.

Section 8

Cancel before work begins: you receive a full refund with no penalties. If your project has not been assigned to a team, we process the refund immediately.
Cancel during work: you receive a prorated refund based on the milestones completed. We calculate this using the same transparent milestone breakdown described in our partial refund policy.
To cancel a project, email hello@researchgold.org with your order number and the subject line "Cancellation Request." We will confirm your cancellation and refund amount within 24 hours.
If you are considering cancellation due to concerns about quality or timeline, we encourage you to reach out first. We may be able to address your concerns and get the project back on track.
